strange noise!!
my classic wrx has started making a noise.The noise is a ticking noise that is unaffected by dipping clutch, happens in every gear, and in neutral when coasting, and the speed of the ticking noise is directly affected by speed. the noise slows as car coasts to a stop. the noise does not change with engine RPM, just forward speed so rules out engine noises. the ticking can be felt through the gear ****.Happens when accelerating and when using engine braking and brakes too.Hope u can Help!!

Had car jacked up tonight on axle stands to see where noise was coming from.I believe its from where the prop shaft enters....diff,transferbox? closest to gearbox.What in there would make that noise??
