Max power a wrx engine will take ??
Ok so i have a 2003 blobeye impreza wrx. Well care for car with low miles. Spec is sti pink injectors vf35 with after market core . Sti topmount full exhust systems. 3 port boost valve. 225 pump pannel air filter. . I'm going to go for a link ecu. Or mite map my own . Any way just wonder wat would max boost or max power safe.. Any info would be great. Before i get it mapped ...Thanks

I didn’t think there was a change on the EJ25 engine, however there was a change in about 2003 for the blobeyes from the TY752 coded box to the TY754 code - I believe certain gears were wider so slightly stronger.....but I still wouldn’t put a huge amount more faith in them tbh.

752 was to 98 754 ran into the hawks , but yes rumours are the hawk wrx gearbox’s are stronger.
But the 754 can last if not launched loads. But as anything some break at 290hp some have ran 400hp for a good while. Good oil will help and refreshing the gear linkage bushes can help too so nice selections are made.
