Default Sti Hatch rear lights

Hi

Does anyone know if the rear light cluster from USA spec sti will fit Uk spec sti?
Would they plugs be the same? if so there would be no need for overlays...

Thanks
Donie

US rears have an additional bulb that illuminates the side reflector (US side marker light requirement) but otherwise appear to be no different.

US hatch finishers - LH item the same as UK and JDM.

RH item same as JDM version

What would you do re: reversing light?? Left side finisher lamp on hatch. Fog light Right hand finisher lamp on Hatch.

Probably cheaper to replace the reflectors in the bumper with LED fogs as per Rob84 (can be had off ebay) and maybe get a clear JDM/US right hand unit and change the fog to reverse.(ICP)

I've fitted the lower rear lights low power wired to sidelights, high power to rear fogs. They help but not very bright.
I've got 2 rear fogs by fitting a red led into the reverse light and wiring it accordingly. It's better but lacks the beam pattern of the RH one. You can just about see this in the picture but it's much more obvious in a following vehicle.
Reverse lights are easy. I live in an unlit area so good reverse lights are essential to get onto my drive. I've fitted 4. 2 small ones work as normal. 2 big ones (too bright for road use) come on when I select reverse AND rear fogs. That makes them selectable from the drivers seat.
I've fitted a square type number plate to make room.
Yes, I know a small reverse light has failed. That's tomorrow's job.
I've also fitted 2 of the small lights in the tailgate trim. These are wired from sidelights and earth through the lock. They make great boot lights when sidelights are on.
This may sound complicated but has the advantage that all the wiring is already in the tailgate. A few connectors and relay and it's done. All the lights were cheap on ebay. I expected failures so stock spares.

Thanks. That's just what I'm looking for. £85 may put it further down my wish list for a while.
