Alternator

There's a high risk it will not.
At some point (which I think was during bug eye models), there was a change to the smart alternator charging "stuff". Basically the third pin on the alternator was actually used (or used differently).
I tried a bug alternator in my WRX,and it didn't work (it kept charging all the time, and the ECU raised a fault code immediately on start, and check engine came on).
The alternators have a little wiring diagram on them on the silver label (or is it a green). As far as I know, the label must match for the alternator to work (+ probably amps too).
There's a small risk the alternator I tried was from a late classic as it was bought from eBay, but according to the seller (a well established breaker), it was a bug alternator.
