Default Fuel pump.....

I'm now gonna upgrade from the 255 to the 340 fuel pump but what is the best pump to get I.e realibility....

The price seems to range for like £50 - £150 so the question is, what one do I get?

Sorry to hijack the thread... My Walbro 255 has just died. Can I buy a 340lph pump or will I need a map tweak? It's a 1999 classic running 331bhp.
only ask as not sure if it will up the pressure/amount of fuel flowing through the injectors.

Any info appreciated.

why not replace with same, a 340 is only needed when in the 400's ?

Only reason I was looking at the 340lph ones was there are some cheaper alternatives.

SWRD pump. Very good quality and bargain price. Ran faultlessly in my FSTI and look far better made than the equivalent Walbro pumps. Lot of fake Walbro pumps on eBay so be careful.

Running a RCM 340 pump in my current STI. Also very good.
