Default Coolant change and levels

Hi all,

Changed my coolant yesterday and this was the first time I have done it. All appears to have gone well and I have heat in cabin, fans kick in and bottom hose is hot. My header tank and rad are brimmed but I have an aftermarket expansion reservoir down near rad/battery. Its metal and black and I cant see any full/low markings so I am not sure how much needs to be in.

Is it just a guessing game? Half way maybe?

a little bit more than enough so it doesn't suck empty when engine cold and fill right up when hot. about a 1/4-1/3 full when engine stone cold would be about it.
