Question Coolant Levels

Hi Guys
I have a Scooby 2000 (which I love - but still haven't passed my driving test so am not driving much - so my boyf is driving 'for' me ).

I got a phonecall on my way to work this morning saying she's steaming a little bit and he thinks it may be that the coolant levels need ajusting BUT is having problems deciphering what they should be. I'm at work in one town, he's at work (with the Scooby) in another town and my manual is in my room in a small village about 7/14 miles from the pair of us . Can anyone shed a little light?

For that matter Is there anything other than coolant that could make a 2000 steam?

To add in one final (I promise it's the last one) question - apparently Haynes dont produce a manual for the Impreza - can anyone recommend anyone who does and titles? (Or is it just rely on the collective knowlage of Scooby net?).

Thanks

Francesca (stranded in St Ives)
