Coolant levels
#1
Hi all
I have a Legacy Twin Turbo that has much the same parts as the Imprezas.
What level do you fill the coolant expansion tank to? Mine sits on the right hand side of the rad as you look at the front of the car. It hugs the side of the rad and seems to enter the rad close to the bottom. If this is the same as the Imprezas - what level should i fill it to?
I can only see a little water in the bottom, but I can't see any level marks.
Cheers

On the Impreza there is an expansion tank that sits on top of the engine to the left and is bolted to the inlet manifold and there is an overflow behind the right hand headlight in front of the battery.
They all seem to empty the overflow tank and run with the expansion tank to the bottom of the pipe that comes out of the expansion tank to the overflow.. no problems in 64,000miles and an empty overflow tank..
Not sure if Legacy is the same but presume it is similar.
