Hi all.

I have a JDM Blob Sti with the standard hid headlights. I’m having dramas with the headlights been intermittent/ going out all together when driving. A quick flick of the headlight stawk to off then on and they seem to come back on again. I’m let to believe that my ballasts are in need of replacing.

Does anyone know of anywhere who can supply the genuine items or alternatives.

genuine items will be hard to source, weren't they JDM only on that model year?

So......aftermarket. DO buy decent, buy cheap, buy twice.

But before buying, have a look at all connections, earths etc.

 

Yea I believe they was JDM only. I’ve sorced some, so hopefully these will be up to the job.

So long as the connectors are the same.

Known brand too, not cheap Far Eastern rubbish.

 

I’m pretty sure they are the same.

Ordered now so I’ll update when fitted.

Just for clarity, the ballast used in the JDM Blobeye is the same used across a number of vehicles including the UK Hawk and Forester

Part numbers are 84965FE020 (original), 84964SA010, 84965SA011(current)
