Default Turbo inlet pipe.

First of, not sure if this is the right section to ask.
How ever, I had too lift my intake in order too replace a water pipe that goes under it. I noticed that my turbo inlet pipe has a crack in it, so before I put the manifold back on I thought I would replace it.

How ever my question is, do I gain anything too upgrade too a 'bigger' one, or should I just go a head and get a OEM ?

This is on a Subaru GT gc8 2000.

Subaru GT gc8 2000 - same as a UK MY00 turbo 2000
Unless you are modding it and fitting a larger turbo then no real gain what so ever.
Fitting a Samco or similar silicon hose will probably improve the spool up a bit by smoothing out the air flow
