What Scoob is it?

The reason the engine burbles is because they have un-equal length exhausts running to the turbo.

If your engine has a twin-scroll turbo though, they use equal length exhausts and therefore they won't burble.

It’s the first time it’s happened subaru are known for that burble,I’ll take some pics of manifold etc in the morning as it’s dark now, just checked the previous MOT history and it’s got an advisory stating “Exhaust has minor leak of gases manifold front pipe”could that be the cause if its not headers.

Just get standard header if you want the burble but wise too get it checked when fitted. I prefer the equal noise but then im biased with a twinscroll i actually prefer it lol
