Help installing car alarm to my subaru

I am not interested in connecting the windows...doors...brakes...lights....imobilizer... keyless start....all I bought this unit for is the shock and microwave alarm which alerts me on the fob remote.
i connected the red power and acc along with the ground to the battery and the sensors lit up when I moved them but there was no warning sounds and no alert on my fob.
i would get it installed but cant see the point as I am not getting any of the main features installed anyway and if it is easy enough to just get them two sensors to work then I may be able to give it a try hopefully with some help from someone in here
