Red face

This must be a stoooopid question coz I can't be the 1st person to have encountered this situation: I have an impreza which is under warranty and I want to have a Clifford alarm/immobiliser installed in it. The problem being that in order to get the installation certificate (for insurers) it needs to be done by a Clifford shop but in order for the warranty not to be invalidated it needs to be done by a Subaru dealer.

All suggestions gratefully received!

Cheers,
Ian

Talking

I have a MY00 UK spec from the netherlands & had a clifford alarm fitted and then a few days later had problems with the remote locking, I took it back to the clifford fitter and they said it was a suburu fault, I then took it to my scooby dealer (Colchester) and they didn't realy wanna know and I ended up paying for a new part for the central locking.

I have a MY99 UK model that when I opperate the KEY FOB flashes 4 times on lock and once on unlock, $64,000 question is can I reprogramme it ot Chirp 4 times on lock and once on unlock. AS Iam blind with a 240bhp Scooby and need to hear it Lock!!! I jest but am used o Audible warning when locked and find myself very unsure if locked or not.

If I cannnot reprogramme can I frig the wiring to operate the CHIRP the same time to mimic the HAZARDS.?????

Wink

If you have your alarm fitted by a proper installer this shouldn't effect your warranty,

Where in the UK are you?

There are enough people on this board who know _good_ dealers at which to get a Clifford fitted.

In reality, it shouldn't affect your warranty at all.

yes you can program the alarm to chirp, and you do it on your key pad your local dealer should be able to do it 4 you.
if you have no luck then let me know and i will foreward the instructions on how to do it. it's dead easy but i can't remember off the top of my head.
