Unhappy

I last drove the car on Monday with no starting problems at all. This morning it turned over about twice and then gave up, was obviously very flat. I'm pretty sure no lights had been on to drain it or anything. Do batteries just die suddenly like that? Cant charge it yet as it's raining and I can't be bothered getting wet while getting the battery out and into the house
I'm very thankful it didn't happen tomorrow morning as I have an A level maths exam at 9!
Cheers,
Ben

In my experiance yes batteries do just die like that. I had exactly the same when i had my renault 19 16v. Unfortunatly the only way round it was to get a new battery. Every time i recharged it it just lost its charge again.
