Default Best mods to tune up

So I am looking to get a few more bhp from my engine not too much i dont want to blow it up ect but just have a bit more control on how the car runs.

I was planning on getting an ESL daughter board for the car but is there anything i should do before spending £600 to get a bit more out of it.

Currently got a 93 import with a TD05, FMIC, GFB Dump and cold air intake.

I thought about bigger injectors but then it would need a remap i assume.

Opinions? Not even sure if ESL is what i should be going for, would go apexi but it will cost a lot more.

Updated fuel pump
440 injectors (yellows)
Decat or sports cat downpipe.
These simple mods and fitting ESL,which for £500-£600 will include a remap.
Should see you @320bhp with similar torque

Oh and you may as well go mafless since you have cai and fitting ESL.

Also, you will have to ask yourself,,do you want to push a 23 year old engine and gearbox close to it's limits? Just something to think about before you start spending money on extra power.
The most sensible place to start upgrades is,brakes, tyres, geo setup.

Ive got a stainless full system, also gearbox has just been refurbished and they arent toooo expensive if it does go. Engine has 90k on the clock so yes that could be near the end of its life.

It also already has brembos and pirelli's

But back to ESL would you say it is a good idea?

Imo ESL is the best upgrade for a road car(classic)
All depends on what you use the car for and how much extra power you want.
A 5 speed refreshed or not wont handle much past 350 torque.

So you have full decat, cai, dump valve, fmic. Car needs a remap anyway to get the best out of those mods.

Just placed my order! I have already read the manual at least 5 time trying to get my head around it lol. Will start off with something simple like anti lag i think.

Yeh You do that
Ãntylag is always the best place to start: especially on the 93 import.
