Is the sock put on exactly same as you took it off and fuel level? If it's priming then it's sucking the fuel do it only leaves the filter that sucks the fuel in mu opinion hope you get it sorted mate

It might be quicker to check for fuel delivery at the fuel filter.

Damn it's part of the assembly with the pump, thing is I have just tried removing one of the hoses again and it's leaking fuel under pressure so looks to be picking up???

No buddy they are different sizes. I have resolved the issue with an ECU reset, phew just got to stop those bloody gauges from squawking again now lol

Excellent result and I've learnt something new today so do all Hawks need the ecu resting after a fuel pump change? Or could it have been an airlock maybe?

Good question bud, there could have been an air lock, the hoses when reattached would have air trapped in them and the pump was dry before its first prime.
Made sure when it did fire that I just left it to idle and sort it's head out for 10 minutes.
