Default Fuel pump over priming

Hi all. Got a issue with my classic 99. When I turn the ignition on the pump will prime like they do but then it will carry on priming then the radiator fans will kick it. It starts fine. What could the problem be? The relay maybe ? Cheers Karl.

Check to see if the green and black diagnostic plugs are plugged in,if they are then unplug them.

You only have them plugged in for diagnostic/test and ECU reset

As above they are plugged in to run test, they turn the fans on and run fuel pump constantly plus boost control circuit if they are plugged together then unplug them.

Sounds to me like you may have an air leak or pressurisation issue somewhere in the tank or fuel system. The pump will prime to pressurize the tank. If there is an air leak this will take longer or not be able to pressurize at all. Does it drive ok?

Have a look at the fuel pump relay then. It may well be stuck on.
