Default knock sensor problem HELP!!!

How you all doing need some advice to see if I can fix this at home before paying a garage I had code 22 flash up which is knock sensor I then purchased a new one (bosch) and fitted the sensor in the car had to change the clips as they were diffrent from the original if that makes sense put it back in the car car started no problem but this is were I'm now stuck with the previous sensor the light would come on intermittent but the car was not running right . Now since I have changed to a brand new sensor the check light won't go off car still not running right either it's running better granted I have tried to reset the ecu but code still coming up with knock thanks for any advice in advance

Do you actually have knock?
Are there any mods to the car, what, and who, plus who mapped it if relevant?

I'd be likely to take mine somewhere and see if it IS knocking...and if so, why...before going any further.

What clips did you have to change? If it's the correct sensor then surely it would just be a straight swap?
Afaik the CEL won't light if you have actual knock, will only throw a code if it's a faulty sensor.

Just an update plugged it in to my ecutek monitor and showed no knock but faulty knock sensor so we undone the new knock sensor and basically the the female shall we say was not touching the male end the old sensor was a denso the new one is bosch for some reason the clip on the knock sensor would not fit so what we done was take the wires out of the old clip and refit them directly to the new knock sensor water proofed it and sealed it up bolted the knock sensor back in and boom no knock light running perfect now
