Default Avcs problem

Howya lads I bought a v7 jdm sti a few months back it has a few mods on it including a td05 20g billet wheel full exhaust etc but the 20g will be coming off aa it's to laggy for me

But the guy who tuned it told me the avcs was not working properly as in not advancing/retarding any idea what it could be?

blocked banjo bolt filters

I have already removed the filters from the banjo bolts over the avcs solenoids

As above, could well be the NPS playing up - any fault codes stored ?
BTW, there are screen filters in all 4 banjo bolts on the metal AVCS pipes.

I see so I should remove all of them?, no I havint had the car plugged in for codes and don't have any engine management lights

could be the avcs solenoids, i had to have one replaced on my bug sti

garage i use had a snap on plug in diagnostic. you could use romraider and a vag cable with a laptop.

you can get a free diagnostics phone app which displays fault codes. To connect phone to ECU you need a bluetooth thing that plugs in the OBD port which are about £7 off ebay

Most of these apps wont be able to check the avcs
