Default Vf35 on a 2001 wrx

Hi I'm very new to turbo cars. Can I put a vf35 turbo in a 2001 bugeye ?
If so what changes need to be done. Don't have any mods.
Thanks.

STI Pink injectors too, a td04 can max the regular blues out.

I'd do injectors before a fuel pump if youre trying to do a quick up in power.

Grab a brew and have a read through this, something Graham Martin and myself put together a few years ago, it should give you some pointers.

Hey everyone,
So I got the pink injectors, walbro 255 and they all in. But I'm having few problems putting the vf35 in. Anyone got any step by step or any links for me to follow as guide lines. So I don't do anything in a different way.

And one more thing. I got a aluminum radiator installed. Is it a problem the top bit of the radiator touches the pannel. Is it a problem?

😊😊😊😊

What's the problem you have?

It's pretty straight forward really, most tricky part is dealing with the oil return (mainly the clip)

Hey
Actually I did it yesterday and yeah it was very straight forward.
But came across a new problem.
Clutch I think it's slipping. After the third test run revs up but no acceleration in the car. And can burning smell of the clutch. So went thru old receipts I got with the car and I found it got a new clutch in 2009 a exedy hd. So probably time for a new one. 😭

I was going to say about clutch, then read your post.

Have you mapped it yet?

Hi,
No didn't map it yet. Kus I just put in the turbo then went for few runs around the block and this happened. Thought it's the clutch.

But do u think it got to do with remapping ?

No, I think it's because of the extra torque ripping your clutch to bits.

Your clutch will be the least of your worries if you continue to boost that turbo without mapping it.

My personal choice would of been a vf28. Cheaper, faster spool and make same sort of power. I made 336bhp on my old bug wrx with sti injectors, sti tmic, fuel pump and full decat. Mapped by duncan.

Hey guys,

Finally I put the new clutch in there. Everything fitted properly and all.
Then when I started the car I couldn't get the gear in...

So I googled and came up with to adjust the clutch from inside. Didn't understand exactly how it works. Then I thought May be I should bleed.

Did a stupid mistake bleed from master cylinder.
Now I can't get it working. Clutch is on the bottom. No pressure at all.

What should I do??

Remove the intercooler. Underneath that, on top of the gearbox, is another bleed nipple. Bleed the clutch from there.

So I did try to bleed for 3 days, every night after work for hours. Then finally I replaced the clutch master!!! Magic clutch got pressure works amazingly.

But now, here I am with the initial problem. Clutch is not disengaging. (I started bleeding initially to get this problem fix) I played with the pedal by adjusting it. Still I can't get the gear to first or reverse. And all the others go in but makes noise. Can drive in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th. But when release the pedal it makes a noise.

Pls help....
