my current car is a 53 blob sti type uk which I bought pretty much standard, still had a standard exhaust system fitted but in all the paper work theres a RR printout which puts the car @ 274bhp..is that right for a standard blob sti ?

265 Bhp Standard IIRC.

Don't think it's been mapped, just may be a good one, cold day, or crap dyno operator or possibly a good one massaging everyones egos.

Mapped standard STI I would expect to see in the region of 40/50bhp more than your has on that print out.
