Default Oil Temp/Pressure gauges - what range/scale?

Considering fitting Oil/Temp gauges. Wondering what range/scale to go for?

Car is a Bug WRX. Currently with PPP but will probably remap the TD04 to 280+.

What is the optimum and maxium readings I should expect for Oil Temp & Pressue, so that I can choose suitable gauges.

Thanks in advance.

Most gauges will be fine, expect between 2 and 7 bar for oil pressure, and between 80 and 120 deg for oil temp.

Thanks. Very helpful.

Trying to figure out where & how to mount 3 gauges without fitting one of those clock replacement triple pod things. Think I'll need a mix of sizes as I want to use the single-din radio slot and possibly an air vent.

Will have a look at the Defi Racer range.

Fit the pod. You can get 'em with clock apertures.

Looks more professional than having mixed sizes and gauges all over. Also easier to check...and that's what they are there for, right?

Couple of things that I don't like about the clock pods. They look too obvious, from a theft/security point of view. Especially if you've got £600 worth of Defi fitted. Secondly, although they fit very well, they don't tie in with the OEM look. By that I mean that all the ones I have seen, have been matt plastic. Whereas the dash has the leather effect look.

I don't like pillar pods for the same reasons. Also, I need to build some custom pillars for my tweeter install, and gauges are going to compromise the positioning.

I have however, found some gauge holders that replace the binnacle cowl and have moulded appertures left and right for gauges. They look good as will retain the OEM feel whilst putting the gauges right in eye-sight. Not sure where they compromise any of the standard dash dials though.

Think that I can fit a pair of guages in a the single din slot (it's too small for 3) and get a very good finish without too much fuss. Will probably drop the HU and fit them above. Lots of options and things to consider. I like using Autometer gauges from previous experience and they have many variations. So just trying to decide on best sizes & models that will look most OEM (not into bling or trying to recreate the Starship Enterprise).
