Default FMIC figment on Blobeye. Need help.

Hi all, I've been looking at some FMICs for my Impreza (Blobeye). They all have 65mm thickness which I guess is an industry standard size? I've been out to measure my bumper and even with the whole bumper grill cut out I get 50mm in the middle and 40mm on the edges.
How did you go about mounting yours? Did you just force the bumper over it or did you have to modify the slam panel? It's two things I don't want to modify if I have the choice.
Thanks.
This is how my bumper stands as it is..

Just to give you an idea of how people fit them themselves and whats required depending on which way you go and what intercooler you have.

It does require Lots of precise trimming to get a front mount intercooler fitted correctly, remember Subaru designed the impreza with a top mount,my advice is measure five times cut once...SJ.

Hmm it's not actually too bad of a job, I thought it would be a lot more difficult if I'm honest. The the guy on the video said I don't want to remove the crash bar incase of a crash. Then again cutting a huge chunk out of it will render it useless anyway. Got a bit to think about... Cheers everyone.

Number 1. You have already hacked away at the bumper

Number 2. Fitting a FMIC to a N/A car is pointless in my opinion
