Default fuel pressure regulator

I'm just about to start fitting an uprated fuel pressure regulator. Does it matter where in the fuel system it can go? does it have to be installed before it reaches the injectors or can it go on the return pipe back to the pump? Does the vacuum hose automatically adjust the pressure? thanks in advance.

Has to go after the fuel rails. If its a adjustable one like a fuelab etc. Be about 45 psi with vac hose connected

As above you need to put it after the rails on the return line somewhere in the bay. You also need a gauge to allow you to set it to the same pressure. Yes the vacuum adjusts pressure relative to the pressure in the intake. Read up lots on it before doing anything with fuel or it can end in tears... and fireballs. Make sure to use the correct hose and the correct clamps. Don't use a cheapo reg and be careful you hose isn't bent too much of rubbing on anything.
