Default 99 Uk Turbo maf

whenever I got my car over a year ago the maf was gone so I replaced it and all was great but now I have another gone. is there a particular intake that will prevent this? I am running a fmic so standard airbox is out of the question.

Got the same issue myself. I wont be fitting another fmic cos of the problems i have . My fault for not doing research before fitting.Think the only way round it is to map it and go mafless. Not worth the cash on a uk 2000

Have cut a large amount f my airbox out with a grinder so that it straddles the FMIC pipework but tolerances on the fitment is very tight so was looking at replacing that sectin of FMIC pipework with silicone pipe but have gone no further .

The maffs on v5/6 are known to be problematic, I'm building one and definitely going maffless to aviod this issue.
There is an option to wire in a maff from another car (can't remember but think it's a Nissan of some sort)

yes looking today to see what I can do with the standard airbox.

I am running a hks ssqv but its vta. would I be better getting the recirculating adapter for it?

Was reading up on the other mafs, maybe worth going into in more detail if they are better.

The Nissan one can be fitted but will need mapping in as the scaling is different
