hi all just been fitting hta rear diffuser and perrin wing stiffies during this time with the boot open the car has died

its face first in the garage so cant get a car to it to jump it but i do have a fresh battery in my other car thats charged ..

now i know its simple and have jumped many cars before but i have only owned my 03sti since january and somethings seem to be different to normal cars

am i ok taking the battery up to the garage and simply connect the jump leads red to red then black to black on the car battery then turning it over ?

does the alarm immobiliser need resetting or should i be able to just drive it out

any replies are welcome

 

You'll be absolutely fine with a battery off and attached to yours mate, connect it up and fire it up!

 

cheers bud , just needed that bit of confindence , i usually connect the earth first then live last but some do it the other way around does it matter ?

 

Go for it dude. Its only certain newer cars that you shouldnt jump start.
Earth first is the normal way.

 

sweet thought its was the normal way earth first but sen some people do the live first didnt know if there was a certain way
