Default Recirc on HDI FMIC

Hi all

Hoping someone can help

When I had HDI FMIC fitted and twin scroll setup done, I was told the dump valve (turbosmart) that was on there could not be used...
'Ok' I thought and left them to it, but I have noticed that it doesn't even have the standard OEM recirc valve on there??
I was told that the pressure would just feed back to the turbo - something along those lines? Is that right?

From looking at pics of other setups the intercooler pipes all have a port where the recirc valve is fitted, but mine doesn't have this? So not sure what I need to do? Cut the pipes and fit some sort of joiner?

Also if anyone is in the Thanet/Kent area and fancies helping me out with this i'll happily sort you out with some dollar

Just want it to be setup properly

Any help appreciated

mine came with the attachment welded on i believe it was an option, so i guess you have the dv less one.
ring the suppliers for a new pipe would be my suggestion

As T says , the HDI pipe work has the flange welded onto the first bend from TB,
Was a guy on here selling flanges , can't remember his name or you could source a rec/dum
Flange & have it welded onto your existing if you can't source or find a HDI original part ... I'm sure you'll sort it with a bit digging around

So are you saying you have just installed the FMIC & the car needs mapping anyway?
Wouldn't it be easier to sort it before if that's the way you want to go
Not sure who supplies HDI now, think it maybe Aztec , failing that give matty a shout in the breakers section , am sure he will have a dump/ reci flange lying around .. As long as you have the triangle flange from any kit all you need do is fabricate the length & position to your pipe work .. Am sure if you look hard enough you could have 1 in post by end of today

Happy hunting

Yer its been mapped already, i just wandered about not having a recirc on there and wanted to really know if its still ok to use or if I need to get one fitted asap.

I'll have a look and see if any breakers have the flange I need

Cheers.
