Default Failure on route to work this morning :-(

Hi folks

First off, I've be on here since November when I got my first Scoob and been kinda lurking in the background, listening and learning since. Apart from the odd crazy I've noticed, I'm loving Scooby net so thanks!

This morning I've had some kind of drive train failure on route to work. I have an 06 Hawk WRX Wagon. I was driving normally just under £40 on country roads not pressing on at all when revs picked up and at the same time got a grindy noise from front end more right that left I think.

The engine still rev'd as normal and went in to ever gear as normal but had barley any drive and clutch burn when trying to move the car further.

It's with my mechanic now (Alan car man) an he is going to try to have a look at it this afternoon if he can.

Place you bets! I will post the failure as soon as I know...

Tom

Hi there

As above sounds like driveshaft failure, which has happens to us only once, when wheel alignment company touched the driveshafts(they forgot put driveshaft pin or they're putted this pin not correctly)

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura

Hi Tom

Driveshaft failures are,but on our wagon which run WRX driveshafts at various bhp levels from 250bhp to 555.5bhp without the issue, only once failed front driveshaft, when alignment company forgot to align correctly driveshaft pin

But still driveshaft failures are pretty rare, but yes they happen and as above please speak with Matty@MB Developments,he is great guy and he will source you good driveshafts

Thanks,Jura
