Default Will removing dv harm turbo

Hi I have recently brought my second impreza. Its a 436 bhp spec d with a gt30 turbo. Thing is, the previous owner fitted a Supersonic dv on it and its not really to my taste. Will blanking it off do any harm to turbo or stall spool up? The noise annoys me but I dont want to detriment the car by taking it off?

she sure does, much different to my 379bhp classic. But why fit a dv to a spec d is beyond me. My son likes the noise and so did i when i was 18 in my Renault 5 gt turbo! Much more grown up now of course but still chasin power lol.

is yours a standard location gt30 or is it a twisted kit?

3rd and 4th gear pulls put a grin on my face-spools like a ******* and never seems to end

still trying to get used to having 6 gears tbh. Standard location bud. Going to Snetterton in Feb to give it a shake down.

Have you got a catch can on yours? Im told the 2.5s breath oil heavily. Plus diff bit noisy and tight on auto mode. Maybe just need to get used to it. Had classic for 9 years so suck in my ways..

Had a normal catch can but got a rcm return to sump fitted today. Have you ever caught the return pipe on a speed bump as it reduces clearance?

Searched google with original query and im thinking of leaving dv on as pressurized air with stall possibly harm turbo blades if blanked off. Maybe ill just get a balaclava 😀
