Default Help! Wrx bugeye

Hello, excuse me if this is posted in the wrong place I've just registered on here (sent by a few mates that use the site!) as I'm potentially buying a wrx wagon soon. I'm heading to view one next week that is 2002 bugeye wrx, that has had sti turbo, pink injectors, intercooler and exhaust fitted from a written off sti. I've been told that I'll need to get it mapped (if it hasn't been already) to accommodate the sti parts.the guy has told me he's owned the car since March and drives with out fault. am I just panicking or should I take it for a map to support the mods ASAP? My head is fried already and I don't even own the thing yet! Cheers!

If it actually 'drives without fault' then it will have been mapped. It would run very badly with those parts fitted otherwise.

Would be good to see some evidence of who mapped the car though.

if it hasnt been mapped then yes, definitely needs mapping, but if its running as it should with a different turbo it suggests its been mapped, has the seller not told you if it has or not?

He's unsure if it's been done, but he's owned it since March 2014 and says it's been driven without fault. I'll soon see on Tuesday! Cheers for the replies guys, excited to purchase a new motor!

I'd be rethinking that a lot, as if not mapped and been booted around on a wrx engine? I'd think it could be a future issue
