Default classic fmic

can anyone running a fmic on a classic throw up a few pics for me? got hold of a kit but I have a feeling its meant to be for a pre facelift. just wanna see pipe routes. this kit of turbo sides all goes perfect but other side is way off. intercooler seems to be mounted with inlet/outlet at the top.

Which kit did you get? They're usually advertised for all classics.

As you can see on the above pic the throttle body pipe has been cut to accommodate.

You might want to try a different throttle body hose. I bought the standard samco one and the samco extreme. Two totally different sizes.

I didn't fit my fmic but enginetuner didn't ring me up calling me all sorts .

As U can see my throttle body pipe at the top here, the bend isn't as wide as both these cars.

See that's what I thought, but no matter what way we did the pipe route that seemed the best way and when I google it I found a few that way too. That's why I am asking for pics of classic fmic to see what way it should be

no you can keep the fog lights just need to space them out a bit so they don't touch the piping.

with washers behind the the lamp mounting points, you will still need to cut out a fair part of the lamp cowls on the bumper and the metal mounting plates that go behind.

Interesting way of putting the FMIC on but don't you get problems with the pipe being that low on the passengers side .

its cause the kit was meant for a prefacelift the cooler mounts with outlets on the top. ive cut the p/s side pipe shorter now and it sits higher up to give more clearance, that pic was taken when I just bolted it all in to get a rough idea on how it sits.

Make sure that there is nothing for the FMIC pipe work to rub on.

This was rubbing on the brake stopper I have fitted, and it was wrapped. Still made a bar of boost with that hole in it though.
