Default Squeak squeak

Evening all

My car has developed an annoying squeak under the bonnet.

Thought either to be the belts or a rogue mouse.

Having a root around today I have found the offending article.

The power AC pump

When the AC kicks in and engages the clutch on the pump the squeak starts.

Watching it it looks like it is struggling to turn, even sticking or slipping.

Is this the end of the pump or does anyone have a suggestion?

Many thanks

CJS

Is your a/c working? When mine started making a horrid noise it was actually the tensioner pulley on its way out.
