Help please don't know what to do
Hi guys help me please I just got offered this instead of a brand new engine build that I've paid them for do I take the offer is it a good spec
Thank you here is the offer
Hi I have an option you might want to consider, I am about to put my own engine up for sale. It was run in for 1000 miles then used at a mild 450 bhp for a further 200 miles so is literally just run in. The spec is huge, its a 2.1 stroker using a closed deck block (strongest possible subaru block) machined to rear thrust to accept the 2.5 tuftrided version 9 crank (strongest possible crank). It's running wiseco pistons with brian crower 1000 bhp rated rods and acl race series bearings. The heads are freshly rebuilt version 3 sti, best you can get in terms of power and rev limit and are in mint condition plus it has the uprated arp head studs and metal head gaskets. On top of that I have just fitted a brand spanking new Cosworth oil pump never been used fresh out of the box. I had this engine specced to run 600+ plus bhp in my own car but plans have now changed and am saving for a blobeye spec c. Plan was to separate the heads and block and sell them separately plus sell the brand new cosworth oil pump to recoup as much of the money I've spent as possible but if you are interested I am willing to do a like for like deal. You get my higher specced 2.1 stroker engine plus version 3 sti heads and your bill remains exactly as it is now, same amount owed same amount paid. This way you can spend any extra money you was going to on the heads on an ecu and re-map to get the most out of the 2.1 plus you don't have to run the engine in as that's already done
Thank you here is the offer

Hi
Yes the spec is good. In theory
However to run that engine properly at 400-500hp you will need the right brakes, 6 speed gearbox, turbo ect ect. So lots more expense.
If you are running a 5 speed box probably wont last too long for example.
Who did the machine work? Just as important as Individual that put it together.
Who did the build?
Who mapped it?
Get a full spec and post it up.
(What oil pump has it got for instance 10mm 11mm 12mm?)
Also post up the spec of your car
And then one of us can give you more advice.
Cheers
Steve
