What is your query?

You'll have to excuse the comedians, it is school holidays.

To avoid further 'amusing' abuse you will need to be more specific

Dependant on where you are, I'd give a local Subaru specialist a call and have a chat with them.

Right when I put it in 1st gear it will go forward about half a foot and just lock up as if I've hit a brick wall it will push me forward, but when putting it in reverse it will reverse properly ? When going forward it kick back a little like something's stopping it from moving forward?

If that helps lol

Doesn't sound much like a gearbox problem, more likely something like a collapsed brake pad locking up a wheel.

Hmm, there was also a oil leak next to the driveshaft seal, but if the wheels were locking up wouldn't it stop me from reversing?

It might free itself going backwards and lock up going forwards. Only a guess but worth checking the easy-to-fix stuff before messing with the gearbox. A visual check is simple enough.

Locked/knackered driveshaft due to lack of lubrication? Whatever it is get it checked by someone who knows what they're doing before it takes another component with it. Plus internet diagnosis is a minefield as you've probably discovered.

Yes you dont have a transfer box however transfer boxs' usually have the centre diff in them.

Your centre diff is actually inside the gearbox and it does sound as if this has collapsed or something in that area has gone seriously wrong.

Get the car in a garage
