Default Water leak in boot

Anyone came across water leak in the boot. Looks as if the water runs down the back screen and gathers at the bottom until fills up and then flows over the top of boot seal and then drips into the boot. It's fine when parked on flat ground you can see the water running down the drain channels like it's meant to but my drive is on a hill and you can see the water build up. Boot now needs a good airing as now fusty. How do I get round this. Cheers.

I've got the same problem. If I park nose down on the drive I get 2-inches of water on the drivers side footwell, park nose up and it's fine. I haven't yet priced up a new boot seal but that seems to be the problem

My car is dry both footwell it's just the boot mat gets damp. Not sure how a new boot seal will help as it looks like the water builds up and flows over the top.

I just reckoned over time the seal would lose its shape and flatten under constant closing of the boot

It can be two things. The seal is perished. The water goes under it not over it.

And the seam rusts and allows water through.

Quick fix is so seal the rubber on.

But I can see the water build up to the same height as the boot seal and flow over it.

Mine did exactly the same mate. Parked the car nose down and could see the water build up. It does come under the seal and not over. I removed the seal and cleaned out the inner channel, then filled with silicone and popped it back on. It hasn't leaked in since

I took my spoiler off to clean the boot lid as there was a build up of dirt under the edges of the spoiler after taking it off I was getting water in the boot so I removed the spoiler again and used sealant around all the holes in the boot lid this has work so far all I can put it down to is the foam seal around the edge of the spoiler has failed?.
Maybe try it and see if it cures it mate.

Rear lights are notorious for leaking, take them out and re seal them.
Done this on a few now

It did take me 2 attempts mate so give it a good clean as well. My blob eye did exactly like yours though, after rain have a damp boot mat in just one corner directly below where the water builds up and would only do it when parked on a hill nose down
