Classic rear bumper removal
Hi folks, am I right in thinking the bolt and clip in the rear wheel arch holding the back of the bumper trim in place has a captive nut in it - and if it's spinning you've got to cut?

Hi Steve, when you put it back together i'd ditch the clips, just use a nut and bolt, less hassle to take off next time and you get a consistent gap bumper to rear quarter.
exhaust side you should have 4 bolts, all need to come out, one is tricky as it's almost hidden behind the bracket, but with a little fiddling you can get a socket on it OK, remember there should also be clips at the bottom corners and one in the middle of the bumper between the bumper and the rear panel.
Most importantly though remember to disconnect the number plate bulbs! so just move the bumper back a bit first off, disconnect the lights and then you can slide it right out.
Check rear panel, lower rear quarters and bumper bar for rust.
