Hi there I'll be rebuilding my2.5 scd and I'm looking for about 400hp
I'll be running it sti 3 heads either esl or alcatek mafless ecu
I have bell mouth decat gt spec headers
Will 550 injectors be ok for this
Which turbos would be my best options
Also I have to exedy pink clutch also looking into 6speeds

Is there Anything else I might need??

550's will struggle at that level on a 2.5, I'm doing something very similar with a 2.6 stoker, ive got some 650's to go in it. Give me a shout for a turbo, i'm working with a supplier for a new range, a 400-450 unit is on my test car now and looking good :-)

 

I ran a 2.5 with an AFP 20g for around 400bhp.

Injector duty was high with 550's, fitted an FPR and it was OK.

 

I've ran over 400 on my hawkeye with 550,s you will be ok for 400

The late, great Harvey specced 740's for my build, 400/400. Forged 2.5.

It runs an HS TD05 20g.
Tubular headers and Harvey trick up-pipe.

 

Don't assume that because your injectors flowed enough that all 550's will flow the same, they can vary alot, ive seen them flow 510 to 570cc. Some may make 400bhp ok but ive had them run out of puff at 380.

 

Whats the price difference between injectors? Ive heard its not worth messing about and you should just get what you need and then sum,plus will be ready for future mods if you want more at a later date.
