Default Prodrive Sportscat - Are there alternatives because I cannot find one

2007 WRX Hawkeye Wagon failed MOT yesterday, probably due to leaking Prodrive Sportscat.

Desperately trying to find one but no success.

Is there anything else out there that will pass MOT and do 270bhp?

This is looking pretty bad all round

The PPP in a 2007 WRX consists of a second decat pipe and a backbox, there is no sports cat.

Where does the leak come from?

Do you get any error codes?

Hi Fpan,

I will probably show myself to be an idiot here - the MOT guys hoped me the leak was coming from the fatter part of the pipework, roughly under the drivers seat area. There appeared to be a binding on the cat or something similar.

No error codes at all.

Please tell me more, I think I must be getting confused and asking the wrong questions

Just to add it was a standard WRX and the prodrive bits were fitted by Wuz so I could get a basic Andy Forres remap

What is roughly under the location of the drivers seat is probably the heatshields of the second decat pipe (if it has them).

Did you replace the exhaust gaskets with new ones when the Prodrive parts were fitted? The conical gasket can rust so it may be good fitting new ones.

I do not know if the gaskets were replaced. My first job on Tuesday is to take my car back to the garage to find If leak is from gasket or cat.

Guy at garage called it "cat" and just checked my service invoice and it says prodrive sportscat and delete pipe.
