Steering feels hard and clunky??
My steering fells really hard and clunky especially at startup and slow speeds. I changed power steering fluid and new auxillary belt but still not fully cured???
Tyres correctly inflated top mounts look ok from the bonnet, Had a look underneath, rack is not leaking, ball joints/track rod ends don't look new but no obvious signs like perished rubber.
Any suggestions???
Got V4 Type R

The quickest way is to get someone to turn the steering wheel slowly while rocking it backwards and forwards. Look at the universal joints while doing this to see if there is any movement between the two halves of the u/j. Usually it's the lower joint that connects the column to the rack. This may be covered up or be in the engine compartment.
If you can't see play or movement the lower joint may need to be disconnected from the rack. This would involve removal of the air bag if fitted and would be best left to a garage if you are not sure how to do it. Hope this helps
