standard 5 speed box or not.?
Just wanted to know if I have a standard 5 speed box or not cause at 60 mph the revs sit at 3000, and im sure they never used to sit that high on my old scooby with a 5 speed box, its a 94 wrx, does anyone else have high revs and what box have you got.

chart says JDM Impreza WRX MY93 which seems to be correct for your car...as JohnD has already said JDM cars have lower geared 'boxes so revs are higher than UK 'boxes at the same road speed. The joys of owning an import.
The other link; http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/tyres.html will help you calculate speed vs the gearing which should give you the information you are looking for...if the low fifth bothers you the cheapest way to address it would be to fit a later UK/Euro spec 'box but then you would loose the benefit of the close ratios in the first four gears.

Can the fifth gear aloan be changed to bring the revs down a bit,it ain't a big issue but if I want to cruise on the motor way it would be nice if I could bring down the revs a bit in fifth gear to have a bit more of a comfy ride and not having the engine reving so high, any ideas.cheers
