Suspension Setup
Been pondering this for a while and seen this thread:
https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-splitter.html
The splitter still in two minds about and have to see one in the flesh to make my mind up.
With the suspension the BC coil overs for £700 and reading up on the KYB SR shocks and Tein springs has made me have a bit of a think, the shocks & springs work out the same price and the coil overs and looking of thoughts of which to go for, heard that the shocks and springs have good reports and also the coil overs
Decision time????

Hello mate I cant offer much advice. I have Weitec coilovers which I really like as I dont find them to harsh and hard. James comes to the pub with me has Tein springs on standard shocks on his blob wrx and they seem good. Other than that I cant offer much more advice mate.

I've had Apex (BC but with different colour adjustment collars) on my 03 STi for over 3 years and 13k miles. So far they've been fine but I do admit I find them a bit hard for less than smooth surfaces even though I have them at a fairly soft damper setting. There is a choice of spring rates and I wish I'd gone for the next softer option - talk to Bren at Apex Performance on what's available.
It takes a fair while to establish the final ride height with the slight nose down attitude there should be on the Subaru and you must be on perfectly level ground when taking measurements, any unevenness will raise or lower any one corner of the car.
Will you be installing them yourself?

I picked up a set of tein super street coilovers and had them fitted last month and have to say I'm really pleased with them. I was a bit apprehensive before having read about coilovers giving a harsh ride but they are a lot better than the spec c shocks and springs that I had before. I haven't had a geo setup done yet but so far I'm glad I went for coilovers.

I haven't got BC suspension on my 05 STi,
But I have been running BC BR on my Mk2 Golf, which came with 5kg Fr and 4kg Rr. I found this to be way too soft, comfortable, but too soft, especially on track.
It now runs 12kg / 12kg, which works superb on track, and I really don't mind on the road either with damping wound down. Its very impressive how these coilovers seem to cope with a wide range of spring rates without needing to be revalved.
Highly likely when the time comes for the STi, BC will be going on.
