Default Had some upgrades :)

I kept this quite until mapping, but I had some upgrades put on the last few weeks in preparation for mapping.

sam_wrx - you supplied and fitted me with a fantastic turbo, as the results show!

I got injectors and new intercooler pipes, along with a new turbo inlet pipe off here too (never again on fitting the turbo inlet pipe lol)

Also need to thank Paul (scoobysmeet) for helping me service the old girl.

Went along to Surrey Rolling Road yesterday, surprised to find it on a test track with lots of Mclarens milling about! The guys there were excellent, fitting my injectors on the day and then over to Simon Roe (Jolly Green Monster) for mapping.

After their arguments about what power to expect, everyone was surprised (Charlie even got out and made sure it was strapped down properly because he didn't believe it!)

It turned out my bug had never been remapped even though I have print outs and was led to believe it had, the joys of buying second hand motors... so was standard 215bhp!

So my Bug now has engine wise: VF35, STi 550 Pinks, full 3'' decat, UpPipe cat removed, Standard WRX intercooler, uprated silicone intercooler pipes and Turbo inlet, one grade cooler plugs (7s), and Walbro Fuel pump.

My final run shows 352.6bhp with circa 325 ftlb torque. To say it has changed is an understatement, absolutely over the moon with it now.

A massive thanks to Simon, Charlie and CJ for their work yesterday!

Sent mate, but not all set-ups produce the same power - a guy on the day had very similar and made 316hp.

I would have been smiling over 300, so obviously I am ecstatic now!

350+ on a VF35 is exceptionally rare mate with those mods i would have estimated about 320ish, so you obviously got a good one there.

Glad you got a good result, hope you enjoy it

Its the torque that breaks them, deliberatly kept it slightly lower to try and preserve the box.

The thing is, the past of that box is quite well known.

I have heard of boxes going for around the 1k mark, but you take the chance something isn't right, and if it isn't, you then either get it recon'd or get another.

Rich at FB does a good job at the right price, when he fitted my 6 speed, he also found that my rear diff weren't too healthy either ....... so changed that whilst I was there as well
