Anyone been to see this?
Went last night to lakeside and was left a bit disappointed. Vin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are awesome but I just felt the cars have taken a back seat in this one. The stunts and effects are mind blowing though. Overall still nothing touches the orginal.
Also the new WRX STI is in for all of 30 seconds lol.

Theyve deliberately changed the focus of the film. They know that with the focus solely on the cars (and Devon Aoki) it was a bit of a one trick pony so they are trying to change the franchise into an action film that includes car sequences. think Bourne, transporter etc

I want to see this but think i always knew it was'nt going to be about the cars as much, lets be honest the car seen is dieing the death, you've only really got the true petrol heads that are into their cars at this moment in time
I remember when the first film came out, i was helping a friend who was running a small tunning company in the evenings, he specialised in clio's and five turbos but did other french cars, but he was inundated with work with young lads that wanted stuff done to their car's which was unreal, he was doing centre exit, twin exit, quad exit you name it any exhaust system they could dream of he was doing, lowering, neons
and body kits galor, which was all basically off the back of this film, they saw it in the film and wanted it on their car
I think they fase has passed now and the kid's are into some other fad now and it's not car's!!!! could be wrong tho!!

Just the last few time's i've been down there it's just seemed quiet, might have to pop down and have a look and see whats new, have they finished outside the arcades yet!!!!
