IMO I'd go for a turbo change before bothering with a FMIC, and if you do change the intercooler, I would suggest you get an STi intercooler as it is larger and is more than sufficient for power than the WRX engine is capable of, plus it will be laggy due to the amount of pipework involved.

I have a VF28 fitted to mine with an STi intercooler, the only way I would even go FMIC would be to get rid of the bonnet scoop.

Hope this helps

Sti intercooler, Sti bonnet scoop & Sti under tray & skirt on a WRX are pretty straight forward fit. Depending on what Miltek & air filter you may need a remap to get the best from the changes. A bigger turbo will defo need one as will a FMIC to map out the lag.

See this handy guide from an expert tuner/mapper to see what you can get from what mods safely without your engine spewing it's bits in the road.

http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/forums/s...e-Path-2.0-WRX

Don't be tempted to just bolt a load of bits on & hope it will make for a better running car. Plan it, buy once & fit once.

See "My Garage" CLICK for my 03 WRX mods taking it to 290 BHP.

I should have also mentioned the obligatory 'Get it Mapped properly' after doing any engine power mods.

VF28 is as fitted to a P1.

Scoop, undertray and intercooler are all available at reasonable prices on a famous auction site , unless you can source locally

Or sometimes to be found in the SN "For Sale" section.
