evening all, be meaning to post this for ages but does anyone else struggle to get a good reading when they check thier oil level

when ever i check mine i seam to spend age's to get a good/true reading,it's as if the dip stick is scrapping against the side of the dipstick tube when i pull it up and scrapping off the oil as you can see a scrape mark threw the middle of the dipstick and the level goes up and down depending where i position the dipstick???

is there a mod or have i got the wrong dipstick!!!!

It is a well known fact that dip sticks, of the engine oil variety, defy the laws of physics.

How many of you have pulled your stick out & the level one side is different to the other side? It was sat in the same oil @ roughly a right angle so how can it be higher one side?

 

You're not wrong, I'm on my 3rd Scoob now , and they've all been the same , a bit of pot luck really
