Default changed vac pipe's and lost boost!!!!!!!

hi all changed all my vacum pipe's today for after market silicone hose today on my 97 ver 3 sti, but on my drive home found car won't boost over 0.6 bar where as it used to peak at 1.3 then drop back to 1.0 bar and hold fine, all pipes are on in the correct order as a changed one at a time and all fitted securely!!! have i missed somthing, is there a restrictor in one of the pipe's or could the pipe be to small (it's 2mm i think!!)

cheers scott

Yup,

Youve taken out the restrictor bullet in the vac line between the boost solenoid and the turbo compressor housing/wastegate actuator.

Check the old lines for the small brass bullet and place it in the new vac lines.

Be sure to put it back in the same line/location that you removed it from.

The pill will be on the pipe that goes to the turbo compressor housing. That same line will be on the run of the tee that goes to the actuator. The tee then goes to the boost control solenoid.

Here, this might help you understand whats going on a bit better and also shows a diagram of the boost pill.

I assume the OP has a classic, I thought without a pill it would over boost where as newage is the other way around (no pill no boost)... I could be wrong but just covering all avenues.
