Stu,

Disc and pad change is very easy, should only take 15-20 mins per side.

I know you say about doing it yourself, but have you thought about giving the guys at Mr Clutch a bell to see what they would charge.

They are easy TBH Stu, You will have to remove the caliper for a moment to remove the old disc but this takes seconds and doesnt require the hose to be disconnected. The worst bit is pushing the pistons back into the caliper for the new pads to fit.

Stu, I did mine on my STI last year , as said above it's not too hard , changing the pads is very simple , the disc bit took me a little longer than before on my WRX if I remember correctly. To get the disc off you need to remove the caliper (don't let it dangle on the brake pipes remember), but then you are left with the back bit of the caliper still attached , the nuts on this wouldn't budge , then I realised that the discs will slide out with a bit of wiggling without removing the back bit (Doh!!), obvious after the event I guess. If the discs are stuck on , screw a bolt into the threaded hole on the disc and they pop off no problem.

Good luck , I hope the rain holds off for you
