Question SENSOR on a PAS PUMP?

What does it do

i got a second hand one from breakers and it didnt have the sensor on it were my old one did so didnt connect it and it works fine it carnt be that important.

Same my new one didnt have one, but its fine just wanted to know why the hell you would want a sensor on a PAS

darc it picks the revs up when turning mate to stop the engine stalling when parking etc

Must admit I was happy to find that out as well, always wondered why the revs changed a bit when moving the wheels when stationary.

My Revs are fine without it Might be as im running a Power Fc not sure,

heard a few people with out it
