Default MTB Trailing

Hi Guys and Gals,

I've just bought a decent MTB to get fit by way of trailing through woods, Anyone else on here into this?
If so where do you go?

I was over Danbury common sunday and totally enjoyed, lots of different stuff for all levels.

I was thinking of doing a weekly trail on Sunday mornings if anyone is interested?

Where you from ?

I have been regularly going over Torndon Country Park on Sundau evenings, and get out on my bike whenever I get home early enough, found myslef riding around the sea wall around the marshes in Wakering the other day.

Around benfleet there are a couple of good trails, though watch out for bumps that creep up on you and make sure you wear a helmet

What bike have you got ?

Hi mate, I've bought a Specialized Stumpjumper. I'm from Cheshunt so I have epping forest just round the corner, was there tonight with my brother and met up with a few other guys to run through the woods. Bumps dont seem to be an issue, Trees on the other hand seem to hurt, Lol

There are few guys over epping on wednesday eves. seems quite popular.

Drove through Epping forest the other day, had my bike in the back and was sorely tempted to get out and have a ride ........ But was too busy

Will have to make my way over there at some point in the near future though.

I've only covered 10% of epping forest but there are plenty of bridal paths for the begginer, the trails we went through last night were fast as we followed some experienced riders but I'm sure you could take a slower pace through them, It does get boggy in the wet though. And you will need to watch out for logs placed in the trails by dog walkers.

Most of the trails led to a bridal path or road so its pretty difficult to get lost in the middle.

Hope that helps

Dave

Sorry, but it still makes me smile every time I hear about 'getting lost' in Epping Forest...

One of the very first Most Haunted Live episodes came from there & Derek Acorah & Yvette got lost in the dead of night...........all they could hear were horses galloping around them......then they lost power........the forest Ranger had to rescue them........

Haven't laughed so much in ages!!

Danbury is pretty awesome, went over there a few times last summer.

Haven't been this year yet although a couple of my mates keep suggesting it, might have to make the effort soon.

People don't listen to you about this!

I mentioned this in just about every bike thread I've been on after my accident at Danbury where the helmet I was wearing saved me from serious injury and people still go out without them....until it happens to them.....don't they Nate?
