Overboosting
Ok, I know that it's too much boost but what can cause it and if left can it cause serious damage?
Ta.

An sti that I was going to look at over the weekend has it at top end. Seller has lowered the price to take into account for getting it sorted but just wondered what sort of damage it may have done already. What I was really worried about was if it would cause det and could lead to the engine letting go if it's been happening longer than the seller is saying.

Well that's one off the list then. he's not dropped the price enough to take a chance with it.

Hitting fuel cut presumably ? repeated overboosting is (from what I have read) going to see your pistons melt at some point.
